There is a new digital picture frame on the market, and this one is from LG.

Big deal you say, “You seen one you seen them all, right?” Well, this little beauty is a little bit different. Actually it is a lot different, this one doubles as a portable DVD player as well. Featuring the LG DP889 DVD Player / Digital Photo Frame which weighs in at just about 2.2 pounds in total. It comes with a crystal clear eight inch LCD display and lets you browse pictures stored on a CD, DVD, 3 different kinds of memory cards and via USB flash drive. It comes equipped with enough built-in memory to hold up to 250 pictures without any additional media at all.

The LG DP889 DVD Player / Digital Photo Frame also has built in stereo speakers, audio / video inputs and outputs allowing you to connect to an assortment of other devices and dual headphone jacks. When you are finished looking through all your favorite photos simply plop in a DVD and enjoy three and a half hours of uninterrupted movie time with the rechargeable battery pack which is included. I’ve liked the look of digital photo frames since they came out but with the first models not having on board storage, I decided to give them a miss. Now with the wide range of digital photo frames available, the prices dropping and memory also being more available, I have decided once again to revisit them as a possible purchase and addition to my gadget collection.

When these frames first came out you were looking at screen displays from 3 inch to round about 5 inch, now you can get a great deal on a 7 inch digital photo frame, at redsave.com they are going for around £35. Not bad when you consider only 6 months ago a smaller frame was well over £60. Looking around the RedSave store I found some awesome 15 inch frames that would look great in my house.
